Why Virtually Stage a Bedroom?
Empty rooms look cold and small. Help buyers visualize their future home with virtual staging.
Physical staging: $1,500 median
NAR puts the median cost of a staging service at $1,500 per home, and $500 when the sellers' agent stages it themselves. Virtual staging is priced per photo instead.

No need to wait for designers. Upload your photo and let AI design the room instantly.
49% saw a faster sale
In NAR's 2025 survey, 49% of sellers' agents said staging reduced the time a home spent on the market, and 29% reported a 1% to 10% increase in the dollar value offered.
Among sellers' agents who stage, 83% stage the bedroom. 34% of buyers' agents name it the single most important room to stage.
NAR surveyed home staging in general. The survey does not separate virtual staging from physically furnished staging.
Source: National Association of REALTORS®, 2025 Profile of Home Staging (May 6, 2025). Surveyed February 2025. NAR invited a random sample of 49,806 active Realtors and received 1,266 usable responses, a 2.5% response rate.
What a staged bedroom contains
A bed scaled to the room sits on the widest uninterrupted wall, with side tables and lamps framing it, a rug running past the foot of the bed, and art above the headboard. Where there is floor left over, a bench or a reading chair fills it. In a room with no built-in storage, a dresser usually takes the place of a wardrobe.
What stays exactly as you photographed it
Built-in wardrobes, radiators, window frames, flooring and wall colour are all left as shot. Staging dresses the room, it does not rebuild it.
Shooting an empty bedroom
Give the bed wall room to breathe
Whichever wall is widest and least interrupted is where the bed will go. If that wall is clipped at the edge of the frame, the bed has to be placed somewhere less natural.
Turn the ceiling light off
Overhead bulbs and daylight rarely share a colour temperature. Mixing them tints half the room, and the staged furniture inherits the tint.
Back up further than feels necessary
Bedrooms are the room most often shot from too close. A tight frame makes the finished render look crowded even when the furniture is correctly scaled.

Disclosing altered photos
Since January 1, 2026, California's AB 723 has required a visible disclosure and a link to the original photo on digitally altered listing images. Edits that change how a property looks are covered; routine colour and exposure fixes are not.
We checked 297 California listings whose own captions admit the photos were altered. 99% carry no publicly reachable link to the original image, which is the half of the statute almost everyone misses.

Bedroom staging questions
What size bed does the AI put in?
The bed is scaled to the room, so a small second bedroom gets a double and a large primary gets something bigger. If the proportions look wrong, run it again and keep the version you prefer. Each render costs one credit.
Can I stage a nursery or a child's bedroom?
Yes. Pick the style you want and re-run if the first result skews too adult. The room itself is unchanged either way, so nothing is lost by trying a second look.
Should I stage a bedroom that already has a bed in it?
Usually it is better to remove the existing furniture first and stage the empty room, because the new bed then lands where the room actually wants it rather than where the old one stood.
Why does my staged bedroom look cramped?
Nine times out of ten the source photo was taken from too close to the bed wall. Re-shoot from the far corner of the room and the same style will read as spacious.
